Return & Refund

At The Songbird and the Bee, we take great pride in the quality of our handcrafted products. Each candle and piece of jewellery is carefully made and inspected before it leaves our studio. However, we understand that issues can occasionally arise, and we’re here to help.


1. Change of Mind

Please choose carefully when placing your order.
As many of our products are handmade and often prepared to order, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect selection.


2. Earrings — Hygiene Policy

For health and safety reasons, earrings cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances, unless they are confirmed to be faulty.
This is to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and product integrity for all our customers.


3. Faulty or Damaged Items

In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged or is found to be faulty, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order at info@thesongbirdandthebee.com.au with the following details:

  • Your name and order number

  • Description of the issue

  • Clear photos showing the fault or damage

Each claim will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If the item is deemed faulty, we will offer one of the following options:

  • A replacement item, where stock is available

  • A refund, issued to your original payment method

  • A store credit, if preferred

Please note that returns must be approved before sending any item back. Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.


4. Non-Faulty Returns

As a small artisan studio, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for reasons such as:

  • Change of mind

  • Product scent, colour, or size preference

  • Minor variations in colour or texture due to the handmade nature of our products

These small variations are part of what makes each Songbird and the Bee creation unique.


5. How to Return an Approved Item

If your return is approved, we’ll provide instructions on how and where to send your item.
Returned products must be:

  • In original packaging where possible

  • Carefully packed to prevent further damage in transit

  • Sent with a trackable shipping method

We recommend keeping your shipping receipt until your refund or replacement is processed.


6. Refund Timeframe

Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you via email about the outcome.
Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method.
